One may now look forward to the “big” international exhibition on track technology (iaf).
It will offer manifold solutions and technologies for smooth railway operations. It will present the latest machinery and devices to guarantee and optimise the reliability of the railway system.
Since its beginnings in 1955 the former track building machinery and equipment exhibition has grown increasingly. With meanwhile more than 200 exhibitors from over 20 countries, thousands of visitors and a gigantic indoors and outdoors exhibition space in the Münsterland hall the International Exhibition for Track Technology has developed into the worldwide biggest specialist trade fair for railway infrastructure.
From 30th May to 1st June 2017 it will again showcase the innovations in the areas of track technology and permanent way. All renowned research, development, production and supply enterprises in this field are expected.
New machines, devices, materials and technologies will be exhibited in the three big exhibition halls with a surface of 15 000 m2. The exhibition surface in the outdoor area could even be extended to 6 000 m2 in 2017. The giant yellow machines can again be admired on more than 3 000 m of real ballasted tracks. In Messehalle Nord a bigger surface will also be available for exhibitors.
For many years the modern Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland and its immediate proximity to the Münster Ost railway station of Westfälische Landes-Eisenbahn (WLE) have been offering the best conditions for an event of this magnitude.
