Invensys Rail appointed Primary Contractor for major signalling framework contracts

Invensys Rail announced today that it has been successful in Network Rail’s tendering process for a number of signalling framework contracts and is to be appointed Primary Contractor in the Scotland, Central West and Wales & West areas. This news follows the company’s award in July of the Thameslink Key Output 2 signalling framework contract and further underlines its position as the UK’s leading supplier of signalling and train control solutions.

Network Rail announces £1.5bn framework agreements

Network Rail has today announced new framework agreements of up to seven years to deliver railway signalling projects worth approximately £1.5bn – part of wider reforms to Network Rail’s infrastructure business, with a greater focus on partnership with suppliers and a restructuring of the way the company delivers capital projects.

Invensys Rail named supplier of the year by Network Rail

Invensys Rail collected two major industry awards at Network Rail’s annual Partnership Awards ceremony which were held at London’s Natural History Museum on 13 July 2011, winning the ‘Best Large Project’ award and the highly prestigious ‘Supplier of the Year’ award.

Invensys Rail Awarded Thameslink Resignalling Contract

Network Rail has awarded the £32m Thameslink core area resignalling contract to Invensys Rail. On completion, the project will provide a significant increase in route capacity, allowing 24 trains per hour to run from Loughborough Junction in the south, through central London and on to Kentish Town in the north.
