Network Rail awards European Train Control System framework agreements

Network Rail has announced framework agreements with four suppliers for the development and design of a new, European-standard signalling system for Britain’s railways. The successful suppliers are Signalling Solutions Ltd, Invensys Rail, Infrasig and Ansaldo STS.

Invensys Rail expands Turkish Presence with major new signalling contract

A joint venture of Invensys Rail and Turkish civil engineering company Fermak has been awarded a €76 million project from Turkish State Railways (TCDD) to install advanced European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) signalling and communications on the 310km Bandirma-Menemen railway – the main rail link between the Marmaray and Mediterranean seas.

Invensys Rail appointed Primary Contractor for major signalling framework contracts

Invensys Rail announced today that it has been successful in Network Rail’s tendering process for a number of signalling framework contracts and is to be appointed Primary Contractor in the Scotland, Central West and Wales & West areas. This news follows the company’s award in July of the Thameslink Key Output 2 signalling framework contract and further underlines its position as the UK’s leading supplier of signalling and train control solutions.

Invensys Rail Commissions WESTRACE Level Crossing Solution in Finland

Invensys Rail Dimetronic will cross the Bosphorus

DLH, the Turkish Directorate of Railways, Harbours and Airports Construction, has awarded Invensys Rail Dimetronic a contract to provide railway signalling and control technologies for the Gebze-Halkali Commuter Rail line, known as the CR3 Marmaray Project, the only line in the world to be equipped with both ERTMS and CBTC systems.

Invensys Rail wins contract for Makkah to Madinah High Speed Line

The Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) has announced today that the Al Shoula consortium has been awarded the contract to provide the superstructure, systems, rolling stock, signalling, operation and maintenance for the Haramain High Speed Line linking the two Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah. This consortium is a Saudi-Spanish group which will implement the successful high speed line model and technology applied in Spain to this new line.

Invensys commissions ERTMS solution on Turkish High Speed Line

On August 23, the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, inaugurated the new high speed line between Ankara and Konya, which is equipped with Invensys Rail’s FUTUR 1300 ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) Level 1 and associated signalling systems.
