China’s Tianjin Metro opts for NiceVision’s IP-based video security solution

NICE Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: NICE), today announced that China’s Tianjin Metro will be implementing NiceVision’s IP video security solution with video analytics to enhance the safety and security of 23 stations along its Line 2 route. This implementation will constitute the ninth deployment of NICE security solutions across different lines and cities in China’s mass transit system, once again further expanding the company’s footprint in the country beyond Beijing.

East Coast introduces CCTV to its train fleet

‘Watching out for you’ – that’s East Coast’s message to customers as we roll out new CCTV cameras across our fleet. The installation of the cameras, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2010, will see a total of 1,621 CCTV cameras fitted across East Coast’s 43 trains. The project represents a £3.8 million investment in our rolling stock.

When fully complete, East Coast’s camera system will cover the complete East Coast train fleet, including our Class 91 electric power cars and Driving Van Trailers (DVTs), Class 43 High Speed Train (HST) diesel power cars, and Mk III and Mark IV coaching stock. (more…)

Finnish Rail Chooses IndigoVision for Pilot IP-CCTV Project

The Finnish Transport Agency for Rail, Maritime and Road Administration, has announced that the pilot project for evaluating an advanced IP-based surveillance system for 11 train stations, was awarded to IndigoVision’s Authorised Finnish Partner, Taitotekniikka (Kauppahuone Taito Oy). (more…)
