In this newly created role, Mark Brooker will take up the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Clare Gilmartin.

Brooker joins Trainline from Betfair, one of Europe’s largest digital businesses, where he most recently held the role of COO, with responsibilities for all operations outside the USA, including commercial management, product development and customer service across Sportsbook, Exchange and Gaming products.  He oversaw significant international diversification from regulated businesses in UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Romania and Bulgaria and, as part of the Betfair Group plc management team, returned the company to strong top line growth resulting in significant value creation for shareholders.

“Mark has built an impressive track record of operational, strategic and commercial achievements and has demonstrated a strong reputation as a trusted leader,” said Clare Gilmartin, Chief Executive Officer.  “His wealth of experience running high-growth business across international markets combined with his digital expertise will be invaluable as we continue to accelerate growth in Europe and across the world.”
