One response to “Noise & Vibrations supplement 2016”

  1. PCAT’s high macro synthetic fibre reinforced concrete modulus track slab structure includes a high edge beam upstand that is higher than the rail profile.
This unique design has potential to reduce rail /wheel noise by in excess of 50%.

The actual benfits are to be evaluated in 2017 with funds from RSSB Innovate UK subject to approval to proceed with the AOBR demonstrator project.
