  When the state authority SJ was incorporated in 2001 the business activities were divided into six companies. Passenger transport ended up in SJ AB. In connection with this SJ also lost its monopoly on railway transport, but still has exclusive rights to certain routes, for example, Stockholm – Gothenburg, Stockholm – Malmo.

  SJ will offer value-for-money, rail-focused travel to passengers in Sweden and beyond, that enables them to carry out their planned activities on board and on arrival at their destination.
