2012 Agenda

European Railway Review’s 3rd Annual German Rail Development Conference

The extensive German rail network has over 40,000km of track and carries around two billion passengers each year. It’s widely considered to be one on of the best rail systems in the world, on regular lines at least one train every two hours will call in the smallest of villages, it also includes an extensive high speed network served by the ICE Trains traveling at speeds of up to 330kp/h.

The high speed network also links Germany to many major European cities including Zurich, Vienna, Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels.

But as with all major rail networks there are challenges to be faced. The public’s desire to have fast and efficient trains has to be balanced with new noise legislation passed by the German Government, add to this the tough economic climate and increasing passenger numbers it makes for a time of great challenges for Rail operators.

Last year’s event attracted top executives from Deutsche Bahn, regulatory bodies, leading thinkers and academics and helped facilitated high level executive networking and problem solving.

This year’s conference will be held at the Melia Berlin Hotel and will run from the 13th to the 14th of June and after the great success of last year’s event, 2012 promises to be bigger and better.

German Rail Development 2012 is a cutting edge and highly relevant event that will bring together industry leader and key thinkers from train operating companies, infrastructure providers and regulatory bodies in high level problem solving presentations and stimulating panel discussions. The conference will also encourage and facilitate executive networking opportunities to help the forming of profitable and meaningful business relationships.
